A little about me
Finding my way back to myself
I’m Emily — a mum, a woman who has spent a lot of her life looking after everyone else, and someone who knows what it feels like to slowly lose sight of herself along the way.
For years, I was the person everyone leaned on. I held family life together, carried other people’s needs, and became very good at putting myself somewhere near the bottom of the list.
For a while, my circumstances made that even harder. I’m a single mum living with chronic illness and an autoimmune disease, and after everything I thought I knew fell apart, I found myself navigating life on benefits. I share that not because it defines me, but because it taught me what it actually costs to keep going when life is hard — and how easily your own needs can disappear when you’re simply trying to get through the day.
I didn’t lose myself in one big, dramatic moment. It happened slowly. Through putting everyone else first. Through people-pleasing. Through carrying emotional loads that were never mine to carry. Through living so far outside myself that I forgot there was a self to come back to.
Coming back to myself started a few years ago — reading, reflecting, meditation, reiki, sitting with thoughts and slowly learning to choose myself. I haven't found my way back to who I was before. I'm finding my way towards who I actually am underneath all of it.
Along the way, I began to notice something: I was far from alone.
So many mothers are carrying enormous emotional and practical responsibility — supporting their children through difficult times, navigating complicated family circumstances, holding everything together for everyone else while quietly wondering who is holding them.
That’s why I created this space.
A place for mothers to find connection, reflection, practical information and support. Somewhere that says clearly: you matter too.
Supporting your family does not mean abandoning yourself.
The app is part of that same idea. A quiet place for gentle practices, emotional check-ins, morning and evening rituals, space to put your thoughts into words, and signposting to real support when you need it. There’s nothing to complete and nothing to achieve. It’s simply somewhere to pause, breathe, and come back to yourself.
What I hope you find here is simple: a moment of calm on a difficult day. The feeling of being less alone. A reminder of who you are underneath all the responsibilities. And the quiet certainty that your needs are part of the picture too.
And this is only the beginning.
My hope is to grow this into a genuinely inclusive space of support and community for children and families — because the way we feel and the way our families feel are often deeply connected.
You are welcome here exactly as you are — on the good days, the hard days, and the days in between.
Much love,
Emily xxx
